When do you notice weight loss

Hi

I’ve been on CC a wee while now and gone from 12st12 to 12st4. I’m 5’3 so still overweight.

My question is when is it noticeable ? I feel ever so slightly slimmer but it’s starting to feel like I will lose and lose but still look basically the same

😂 😂 appreciate this is me probably being impatient, I do take measurements / photos and have noticed a reduction but still don’t really feel slimmer

😆 I am post nights so could just be tiredness

Thanks

I started calorie counting and walking minimum 10k steps a day in mid November. I am 4ft 10 and weighed 65kg in Nov. I now weigh 60.8kg so 4kg loss in nearly 5 months. I have only noticed a physical change (clothes look better and need to use a belt on my jeans) in the last month, so once I had lost 3kg.

I'm 5'3" and was 12st 1 on Jan 1st. I am now 9st 13. I started to feel fabulous and started to get positive comments at about 10st 4.

Well done on the progress you've made and I hope you can keep going - it's so worth it!

SchrodingersImmigrant · 04/04/2021 23:14

Well done!

I kept with
In 2 months you will feel it, in 4 months you will see it, in 6 months you will hear it

If you hit stages earlier it's a nice bonus😁

Sweetener12 · 05/04/2021 11:25

I think it's mostly noticeable to other people and even if you don't feel like anything has changed, your friends and family may notice it earlier because they aren't so concerned. At least that's what usually happens to me, the only way I can see my own changes is when I compare two pictures in a before&after style or get rid of extra curves in Photodiva lol

I feel better in my clothes when I’ve lost about a stone, people usually start to notice once I’ve lost 1.5.

Thanks all, was on nights so didn’t read until now. xx

I'm wondering this too! I'm hoping once I've lost a stone it will be more noticeable from then on.

ferntwist · 15/05/2021 04:44

I heard once that we notice weight loss in other people after 10lbs and that’s always seemed about right to me

hopeishere · 02/06/2021 16:34

I've lost 1stone 4lbs now but I don't think you can see it at all. Only another four stone to go!! Hopefully by then it will be showing!!

Chelsea567 · 11/06/2021 23:33

I found a stone is about a dress size

EgSk · 28/06/2021 21:47

I’m 5”4
Starting weight 86 kilo
7 months later and I’m at 68 kilo

It’s only NOW that the odd person is commenting but most people don’t .

I’ve been very quiet with the weight loss though and I wonder if that makes people unsure if the weight loss is coming from a good place.

Although my husband noticed after I lost 5 kilo so there’s that 😊

EgSk · 28/06/2021 21:50

I just read other people’s comments and now I’m wondering why I’m not getting more people noticing ☹️

JeansShirtJeansJacket · 08/07/2021 21:57

I've lost almost 2 stone and no one seems to have noticed yet. I think I can see a little bit of a difference, but not much. I'm now only half a stone off my goal weight!

It's a little bit disheartening but I have dropped 2 dress sizes so I know I must look slimmer.

EgSk · 01/08/2021 09:09

Just to update lol I’ve lost 2 more kilo since my last post and out of nowhere I started getting tons of comments . It took a 20 kilo weight loss 😮. Maybe I hid the weight gain well ?

Greatdomestic · 15/08/2021 14:27

I think sometimes people don't want to comment, as they are afraid you may have been unwell.

Since lockdown 1, I've lost just over a stone and a half, and had a fitness overhaul. I'm a size smaller in clothes, could probably lose up to another half stone, but not in a rush.

At a gathering last month, only the runners/cyclists in the group commented, saying really positive things and asking about my training etc.

Those who i know are over a weight they want to be didn't mention it at all.

Bluntness100 · 15/08/2021 14:37

I also think about a stone. And then very noticeably about a stone and a half, but it depends on how much you need to loose.

People tend not t9 notice if you gain half a stone or so and they don’t notice when you loose it. I’d say generally people notice the gain and the loss in the same parameters. Ie they notice if you gain a stone or more and same if you loose it. Below that level they are a bit unsure.
