New here (to Mumsnet). Been dieting forever really but been trying harder since end of Jan when I got a gallstones diagnosis after some stomach pain in the summer. I was given the option of either having surgery or change my diet, I figured I wanted to lose weight anyway so I'd change my diet.
Basically I need to really cut down on fat, but not all fats, avoid animal fats, and also try to lose weight slowly. No skipping meals allowed.
So far have lost almost a stone but I have at least another 3 stone to lose before I'm close to a healthy weight.
Anyone else dieting because of gallstones?
