I'm on a diet and I'm starving

I know this is a really obvious thing to say but getting rid of baby weight it's such a burden

I'm using fitness pal and up to my calories over my daily fat allowance and I'm sure I could eat a Big Mac despite having eaten well all day Hmm

If you're on a diet and you're starving, you're on the wrong diet! What are you doing?

Candyfloss99 · 12/12/2020 05:25

Sounds like you need to eat more protein and less carbs

Blondie1984 · 13/12/2020 03:51

What do you eat and drink in an average day?

Eat a small breakfast with protein, such as an omelette. Protein kick starts your metabolism for day. You can have carbs but limit them to 1 choice of carbs a day, such as half a pouch if rice or 2 slices of bread or half a baked potato. Carbs are important on a diet as it's fuel for your body. Also cut down on the sugar but don't go sugar free. Also cut down the fat obviously, buy still include healthy foods with natural fat in them. If you cut out all the day and sugar your body will hold onto more to preserve your energy. Eat 3 meals a day to keep your metabolism going and allow 1 snack either mid morning or afternoon. You should never be starving on a diet, also it will hinder your weight loss and even if you lose weight like that it's not sustainable. I lost 3 stone and I never ever calorie counted, just watched the fat and sugar I take. I also still cooked everything on olive oil and ate 2 handfuls of nuts everyday. An example of one of my diet days is breakfast: 1 homemade chocolate fruit and seed flapjack for breakfast with 2 pieces of fruit, lunchtime: omelette with spinach, low fat cheese, tomatoes and 2 fish fingers, afternoon snack: a couple of crackers and small handful of roasted chickpeas plus 1 serving only of a slimming world dinner with heaps of veg on the side. Hope this helps xx
