Hello,

I'm wanting to try CC but I have no idea where to start, how do I start calorie counting and any useful resources to try?

Thank you Smile

I use the Nutracheck app. It's free for the first week, then you pay £3.99 a month. I prefer it to other apps like MyFitnessPal as the database is much more U.K. centric and has no weird cup measurements.

I log all my food and link it up to my Fitbit as well.

I've used it since January and have lost 1 stone 10. I have about another stone and a half to go now,.

As pp said, use an app. It's so simple nowadays. One, a while ago, I needed to lose just a bit (and did) and I had to have printed out tablea with food/calories and calculator in a kitchen 😂

I use My fitness pal, as I find it ok. Start by logging in your normal day. Don't forget oil, salad dressing etc. Everything what passes your lips must be accounted for.

Do NOT go too low on calories. You will get really hungry and give up. In my opinion and experience bit slower is better, because you will relearn your food portions etc and build something which will be a lifestyle rather than a temporary diet so it will last and so should your lower weight.

One thing. It really overestimates the workout calories ime. So I set it so I don't eat them. 3 stone lost so far in 17 weeks😁

Good luck!
