So I've heard of a diet where for 8 weeks u have 800 calories a day. So can someone give me a few ideas of what 800 calories a day would look like?

For example I usually eat

Breakfast a bowl of apricot wheats cereal with semi skimmed milk

Lunch a Cornish pasty

Dinner might be a combo of snacks such as chocolates crisps and 2 cans of appletiser

@disobedienthamster I won't be breastfeeding and before all the nasty comments come - don't. It's my choice. No one should be forced to breastfeed

@skyblue firstly, fair play for admitting what your diet looks like. Secondly, if it was just you then keep eating whatever but I'm concerned that when baby comes along and needs weaning, you will have to start modelling healthy eating three healthy meals a day. You may as well start now- particularly as baby is currently eating whatever you're eating. I formula fed both mine so no judgement from me but I you can't eat crisps and chocolate for dinner when you have a 1 year old who will want to eat whatever mum is eating.

I've been here and I can honestly say.. 800 calories a day Is really not advisable.

There is so much science and health advise behind it but ultimately it's totally bad for your body and mind. 800 calories a day is not sustainable nor would it contain the amount of nutrition required.

I calorie counted my way down from 1500 per day to 800 and I put every single pound + several more back on within literally a few weeks. Please don't! It's miserable work and temporary results.

Eat some veg. Be a good example to your child and don’t waste our time with your ‘800calorie a day diet whilst dealing with a newborn’

There should be a test to pass before having a child. Jesus.
