Hi all I need some advice!

I have about 10 stone to lose and I’ve done really well the past 3 weeks, I’ve lost 1st 9lbs from calorie counting and exercise.

This past week though the weight just ISNT shifting Angry

Should I drop my calories more? I currently eat 1200.

Is your period due? I find the week before my period stalls loss but if you keep on plan you get a bigger loss the week after.

1200 Caroline's is tiny, I wouldn't drop it any further, that simply is sustainable.

Some years ago I did the Cambridge diet (shakes and soups very low calorie). I would see my consultant every Monday after work, at the same time. I always lost weight every other week only. On the other week I would stay the same. I don't know why it happened. On my losing weeks I would lose loads... 8lbs was normal, but then the following week nothing at all. Overall my weight loss per month was around 14-16lbs which was what it was expected to be. Don't feel disheartened just carry on.

Actually yes my period is due next week! That may be why Hmm! Thank you.

@Magissa I am doing slimfast which is pretty similar. 2 shakes a day, 600 calorie meal and 2 snacks. I’m not hungry in the day but just want to get to that 2 stone mark now Grin

I will carry on, thank you all!

That is very low already. Weight loss isn't linear - if you keep in a deficit you will lose weight. 1200 is very aggressive though - you could make it a bit easier/more sustainable by upping it a bit.

You could easily up that to 1600 a day and make it all much easier.

You may not be eating enough and your body may have gone into famine mode.

I expect your body will burn at least 2800 calories a day (if you have 10 stone to lose).

So a 1000-12000 deficit each day will be good!
