Hi guys

I'll apologise for the long post in advance :)

I've just started calorie counting. I'm an ex SW & WW girl but it's just stopped working!! Have a feeling i'm also peri-menopausal :( Gotta love the 40's!!

I originally lost 29lb on WW no count up to last summer so when they stopped No count I tried the new plan & I just didn't shift any weight at all. It actually slowly started creeping back on. I then stopped smoking in Oct & since then I've gained over a stone :(

In Jan I decided to try SW (again!!) but only lost 2.5lb between the beginning Jan & end Mar so gave that up as a bad job when my 12 week countdown finished!!
I then tried to do WW No count with the FB support group but it's just not happening this time so I started Calorie counting on Monday.

I am a really really slow loser at the best of times so you can imagine how disheartened I feel. 1/2lb a week if i'm lucky so to not even lose that has knocked me duck off & i'm so fed up.

I've downloaded an app called Lose It! only the free version as that is suitable for me (plus i'm a fully paid up WW member until Sept this year) I can't get on with MFP for some reason, I just don't like it & Lose It! has fantastic user reviews.

My starting weight is only 12lb lighter than when I originally started two years ago meaning I've gained 17lb since last summer, I can't get in any of my nice clothes so I'm living in leggings & baggy tops yet again & I'm blumming miserable!!

It's just over 11 weeks until my holiday, I need to get back into my clothes & to do that I need the 17lb off!! I then need another 15lb off by November as I'm getting married & it will see me at goal for the first time in my life!!

Any buddies in a similar situation would be welcomed :)

Much love x

Hey MrsBailey2be I will join you 🖐 Very similar experiences lost 38pounds with no count about approx 4 years ago, but since then have been losing and putting on the same 1.5 stone its soul destroying!! I turn 40 in Sept and I would have loved to have been two stone lighter but have messed about that much its looking very unlikely, but will be happy to just lose consistently from now to then. Started today using mfp and on 1500. Would be great to have a weight loss buddy 😀

Hi slantedbutenchanted
Sorry for the late reply, life!!!! So glad you'll join me :)
Had a great 1st week, 3lb off that included 2 nights out (Fri & Sat) so hoping for a good one this week too although i'm only expecting 1lb off (hopefully) but i'll be really happy with 1lb a week until my jollies in July. Trying to stick at 1200 per day & finding it ok to be honest, thought i'd struggle but it's actually ok.
How's your week been? What sort of things are you eating? Happy to PM if you'd rather :)
xx
