Always had an unhealthy relationship with food - really struggled with eating disorders in the past.
Had my little girl 2 years ago and put on so much weight! Did slimming world last year and lost 4 stone but have found I've had such an appetite since then that I've piled weight back on.
Started a calorie controlled (1500 per day) diet 2 weeks ago and I've lost 9lbs!
So so so proud of myself especially given my history, I've done it sensibly and feel very much in control!
Not sure what the point of this post is, a bit of bragging I suppose but also happy to swap meal and food ideas?

We're all doing great just by being aware!! I didn't lose any last Thursday, have stayed the same but I've been really relaxed with food and had a couple of take aways. So much smaller portions than before though!

Good for you! It's fine to brag, you've done so well!

How much are you planning on losing in total? 4 stone?

It's taken me almost 2 years to lose the baby weight from DD- I'm just a few pounds now off target weight. So worth it.

1500 is doable if you are sensible.

Undecided on goal weight. I weigh alot more than I look anyway which makes it tough! I'm now back into size 12 next jeans and a 10-12 top, yet I'm still 14stone 6. I got down to 13.13 after slimming world and felt great so maybe another stone or so?
Gutted today as I've slipped this week with takeaways and no exercise and I've gained a lb. Trying to hard not to give up!

Mama bear, don't give up! And well done on the first loss.

I'm really envious of those people who drop a nice chunk at the beginning. I never seem to do that. The most I do is 2lb.

I only started on Monday and the hunger is kicking in big style. I'm also step counting but not overdoing it as too much exercise has sabotaged diets in the past so I'm easing myself into it. Once my body and mind adjusts to 1200cal a day then I'll add in some classes.

Great snack tips here too. I'm going shopping on Saturday so need to pick up low calorie treats. I like the idea of the snack box too.

Have a happy day all.
