I’m breastfeeding and so hungry all the time. I have gained 5 kg since delivery (aweful I know). So I decided to push myself to count calories.

Don’t judge me !!! This is how I perceive my day to look like :

Breakfast at 7sh : porridge oats with banana

Snack at 10sh: tea with something sugary (chocolate), I don’t know why I’ve becone into sugar when I never was

Lunch at 1sh: cheese spread on toast, or cheddar grilled on toast. Or soup if i have with a toast.

Snack: cereal or so.

Dinner at 7pmsh : chilli con carne or some small portion from whatever the household is having. ( usually home cooked)

Desert: milkshake made of frozen cherries and milk blended.

This is my first time examining my diet since delivery as my son is 5 months and about to go on solids next months so I can afford to starve a little and stop grazing on everything..

Can u tell me how to improve my diet without getting hungry 😋. Please don’t be harsh

I’m in the same boat! I swear I’ve gained more weight breastfeeding my 3 month old than I did during pregnancy 😩 my oh was constantly feeding me as he was convinced I wouldn’t make enough milk otherwise, and I was too tired to listen. I’m with you on the sugar too because being a Mum and breastfeeding is exhausting! I’ve been slim/underweight forever but now I’m 9st at 5ft!

I’ve got a Fitbit and track everything in my fitness pal app so I can see what I’m putting in and burning off. I’ve stopped buying chocolate, crisps etc altogether and snack on pure peanut butter and cracker bread instead, or fruit. I have tea and wholemeal toast sometimes with a scrambled egg for breakfast which keeps me going. Lunch and dinner at the moment is not very exciting. I’ll have either chicken breast or tuna with either brown rice or a small jacket potato, then whichever I don’t have I’ll have for dinner. I put light salad cream on things and Cajun/piri piri spice to stop it being bland.

I had an obsession with tracker bars as I’d be able to grab one whilst navy was feeding, but with my fitness pal I can see that I could use those calories for something more substantial. Oh and I drink water like it’s going out of fashion.

Only a week in but down .01kg if that counts lol. Sorry if I’ve rambled a bit.
