Slippery slope :(

Ok. So I've gained 1.5 stone. I've been exercising A LOT over the last week and using my fitness pal and fitbit to monitor calories. Tonight I have 'binged' a bit and have taken laxatives. I'm worried this is bad and I'm expecting too much too quickly. Help!

You shouldn't ever take laxatives babe they're so bad for you

Laxatives are totally pointless as well as being really bad for you. I am a recovered bulimic and I abused laxatives on and off for years. Thankfully no lasting damage, but others are not so lucky. Anal leakage is rather unpleasant, the constant stomach pains, it's very antisocial. Most of what you left rid of is water. Breaking wind is way too risky.

Laxatives only work at the end of the digestive process, by the time they kick in most of the calories in the food has been digested.

Don't go down this slippery slope. It took me over 22 years to get recovered. I thought I could control it, but I was so wrong
