pasta help - so confused!

How many calories are there in bloody pasta? Just standard dry fusilli.

Whenever I look it up I find different amounts for dry and then cooked - how can they be different? all you do is add bloody water!! so the calories in 100g of dry pasta should be the same when cooked surely - it's only made heavier by water which has no calories!!

100g dry pasta will have more calories than 100g cooked pasta since the cooked pasta will have taken on water.

If you're trying to work out calories, go with uncooked pasta. 100g of pasta will have the same calorie count when it's cooked but will weigh more eg 150g.

one of the searches I did said that 100g dry pasta was 130 calories, but said once cooked it would weigh 250g and was like 360 calories - thats what confused me because I was thinking water has no calories so how does that work 🙈🙈😂😂

if you are cooking one portion at a time I would just count the dry weight, so long as you're just adding water it'll be fine.
I have also noticed baked potatoes seem to get more calorific as they cook?!Confused

Do you have a packet of pasta you can check the back of? I'd use that calorie measurement and make sure I weighed it before cooking.
