Has anyone tried eating 600 calories for 5 days then “normal” for 2 days? If so did what kind of result did you have? Thanks

Anything that creates a calorie deficit will cause weight loss. It's so simple.

I was asking if anyone had tried and what the results were, which then hopefully would’ve lead to if it was a hard diet to follow etc, why bother posting on a thread with a reply like that, just ignore the thread?! It’s so simple Hmm

You will lose weight if you consume fewer calories than you burn.

I lost about a stone on the 5:2 a few years ago but found it too hard to maintain with a busy job and three kids.

Now I cycle 12 mikes a day and miss breakfast. I gave a small lunch and a big dinner and am thinner than I was. It’s nit ideal but the point is that burning more calories and consuming fewer calories, I have lost weight.

I think 600 calories us very hard to maintain fur more than 2 days each week and would probably leave you feeling grumpy tired and unwell.

I did it. Lost 10kg in about 8 months.

It works best if you get into a really good routine. I chose to only have one meal in the evening on fasting days and didn't do d the wait difficult. DH tried it but felt ill and tired so it doesn't work for everyone.

Keep up fluids and ensure you don't spend the calories on junk.

It worked for me because I work on the days I fasted so was in a routine and it meant I was never dieting on weekends so didn't have to do much planning.

Iv done it since Wednesday and lost 2.6 pounds, I had a day off yesterday seeing as it was the weekend but I didn’t overly indulge.

So far I’m finding ok, having a lunch and dinner, iv got dumbbells in the house I’m going to start using them. Might squeeze in the odd excersize class but it’s only at night I can go when kids are in bed and hubby is home but by then I’m knackered!

It's not real weight (fat) on or off in a day or two. It's water and general body fluctuations. One pound equates to 3500 calories so it's really not mathematically possible so just keep plodding on and it'll come off slowly

Ah I see, thanks for that info 😊👍🏻
