Getting into shape

Hi.. so story is I'm not overweight but I am close to the high end of ideal weight. I'm 10st 10 and 5ft 6. I can be 11st 2 before I'm classed as overweight. Anyway the weight I carry is on my stomach and face. I have good legs and bum but naff core a naturally round face so if I gain weight it makes my face look even fatter my arms are weak too.

I downloaded my fitness pal and for the past two weeks I have documented everything. I have been eating between 1600 and 1800 calories a day so could probably do with cutting that. Probably a few too many carbs as well. I don't eat or drink a lot of sugar Though as in I never eat chocolate or anything sweet like that as I don't really like it. Don't eat many crisps or crackers or things. I mainly snack on yogurts or fruit.

Exercise wise, I'm a sahm and I walk a lot. Always take kids on long walks and nature walks and things but that's about all the exercise I do. I do some yoga but I go through fits and starts with it. Some weeks I do it four times a week some only once some I don't bother at all.

I've downloaded an app that gives you 5 sets of exercise and works on every part of your body and you build it up slowly as you go along and the individual exercises are only a couple of mins each so easy to spread out through the day etc.

I don't want to loose a great deal of weight maybe about 10lbs and mainly just tone up as much as I can to try get rid of the jelly belly and get some muscle in my arms! Bit of a better shape.

Any tips would be appreciated

What's the app you've downloaded? I'm interested in trying one of those as really struggle for time. I have 2 set yoga classes a week but not going back at brilliant mid Sept and I haven't done anything all summer. I lost 3/4 a stone last year and have put it all back on🙁 starting again today...

You could just focus on your exercise. At your weight walking 5 miles (10k steps) in one go will burn around 200 cals. So if you're actually only eating 1600-1800 you would lose.
