Losing momentum

Help needed, I started my diet at the end of May using MFP and have lost about 2 1/2 stone taking me to a size 16. Still got a while to go and I'm stuck, lost motivation and just want to eat, eat, eat!!! Haven't lost anything in two weeks.

I'm eating 1200 cals a day, exercising 1-2 times a week but lost the will to keep tracking!

Need my motivation back!!!

Well done on the weight lost so far.

I find I can't stick to anything long term, but THAT'S OKAY. It doesn't mean I've failed and have to be fat, it means it's time to move onto the next strategy.

Sometimes I do MFP. Sometimes I exercise like a maniac. Sometimes I do 'no S'. Sometimes I register for races or events that I have to train for. Sometimes I cut out carbs. Sometimes I make a rule not to eat after 3pm. Sometimes I stick to only 2 meals a day. Sometimes I eat 4000 calories in a day and start again the next day.

After years of being overweight I've been a size 10 for nearly 2 years now. 6 months ago I was the fittest I've ever been in my life. Have slipped back again now, but still at target size, and running my first half marathon in 4 weeks time.

I do echo what pp said. I've lost 13 lbs but need to lose another stone and a half and some days I struggle. I'm not doing very well the last two days and think having the dc home doesn't help. For me, when I slip like this, I gI've myself a kick to remind myself what I would prefer. To stay fat and unhappy or slim and treat myself to a new wardrobe? The answer always helps me get back on the horse. In fact it's doing it right now Smile. Visualisation helps me too. I had hoped to reach the stone this week but after a crappy few days I may not. Like pikachu said that's OK. I'll start again today and still work towards it. We know what it's like to fail (not that we are failing but you know what I mean) we want to know what it's like to WIN Grin

Could I say though? 1200 Cals a day is not much and that's a quick loss. I personally would find that hard to stick to. I aim for 1500-1700 a day and lose about 1-2 lbs a week. Its slower but still the scales go the right direction. It's a personal thing but I know I wouldn't be able to keep that up without being hungry. Well done though!
