Can you please share with me what on earth you eat in a day? I think I'm going to be very hungry...!

I'm not exactly counting calories but trying to lose weight. Yesterday I have porridge, 1 Apple, 1 satsuma, a portion of carrot soup, chicken, kale, carrots and potato mashed with skimmed milk and very low fat yoghurt. I haven't counted them but guess that is somewhere in the 1200 region.

This is what I had yesterday:

Breakfast: Mini babybel 80

lunch: egg mayo sandwich on brown bread: 350 - 400
Muller light yoghurt: 85

Dinner: Steamed Rice approx 200
Loads of stir fry Veg with soy sauce - not sure another 200?

Banana: 80?

Another Muller light : 80

Lots of cups of tea.

I will often have more protein - some salmon or veggie sausages or something for dinner.

I was drinking Wine in the evenings, but I've quit that for now, to try not to feel so groggy in the mornings boost weight loss.

I'm going to bed early as well, which helps.

My typical 1200 carlorie day would usually be something like

X2 weetabix with skim milk and sweener (250kcal approx)

Apple (50cal approx)

Small portion of dinner Leftover dinner from night before (bolognese, curry etc) but no carbs like rice or pasta with it to keep calories low (400cals approx)

Tin of soup with bread (400kcals)

Maybe a little kiddie yogurt later if DP is eating crisps later and I'm struggling to resist

Breakfast: 2 slices toast with butter (230kcal)
Lunch: ham sandwich made with warburtons sandwich thin (183kcal), individual bag of popcorn (59kcal), Apple (71kcal)
Dinner: something such as homemade lasagna, pizza, pie, roast etc. Anything around 500-600kcal.
If I'm peckish I snack on olives (MFP says 2kcal but Google says 5kcal per green olive. Either way it's low)

Great ideas here thanks!

I have a stone of baby weight to lose which currently lives almost entirely on my stomach.

Have been using mfp for the last 10 days and aiming at 1200 cal a day plus exercise 3-4 times a week (combination of Spinning, running, metafit). So far I'm actually enjoying Spinning which has been a big surprise.

I've lost 2lb so far mainly by reducing carbs (I'm a lover of savoury rather than sweet) and not picking at the children's food. Today I've had...

Breakfast: 45g museli with 2tbsp natural yoghurt and berries

Lunch: (pub - was very pleased I resisted the roast dinner!) salmon with roasted new potatoes and crab salad.

Dinner: small tuna steak with avocado salsa. Couple of glasses of wine.

Probably a bit over calorie wise but I went Spinning this morning which burned 300 odd Cals. I'm trying not to eat my exercise but have borrowed a few today. I really relish an evening glass of wine so factoring that in otherwise I'll get resentful.

I'm doing 1200, I want to lose 1 stone.

I'm having shredded wheat or porridge for breakfast. Eggs or soup for lunch with whole meal bread, or beans on toast or a sandwich. I sometimes have a ski mouse with that. My dinner is just a small portion of a normal meal, so this week I've had toad in the hole, homemade potato wedges with fish and peas, pasta with homemade sauce, a lasagne with loads of salad.

So nothing mega healthy but I just have a measured portion.

I've done this 1200 before and it does work, if you do plenty of exercise you can eat more too.
