So Im looking at MFP again. Yes I do think its a bit of a PITA when you have to work out all the calories all the meals have, but I really dont know what else to do to lose weight. It needs to go. Im not obese and there are a lot of people with a lot more to lose than me. But if I carry on the way I am I will just get bigger and bigger.
Im going away in 2 weeks so Ive decided up till then I am just going to log my food. Im going to (hopefully) carry on logging while Im away. Just going to see how I get on first. Im not trying too hard ATM, I just want to get in the habit of MFP and get to know what my current food looks like on paper in the terms of calories, fat, carbs and sugar. Also start to make recipes and favourite foods so it will be quicker when it comes to actually looking to reduce calories.
When I come back from my holiday I am going to try to stick to around 1500 calories, while also cutting my carb and sugar intake right down. Ive just looked at my TDEE which is 1998. My TDEE for my goal weight with no exercise is 1568. So I figure if I try to stay to around the 1500 mark I should start to lose weight eventually.
So please can you wish me luck. For the last 18 months Ive let myself go and got myself into a spiral of not caring when deep down inside I know I do. Ive also got into the habit of thinking that its too hard to lose weight. I need to get that losing weight frame of mind back. I guess once it starts to come off it will hopefully get easier as the motivation will stay (it has before - it just needs to again)
