Today I weigh more than I have ever weighed in my whole life. Even when 9 months pregnant with DD. I am, according to my scales, 18 stone. I am so embarrassed I could hide away forever... However, the only way is up... So my plan is no gimmics, no exercise calorie payback, no alcohol, just 1500 calories a day, carefully measured. I have done this before, I can do it again! Feel free to ignore me, I think I.am talking to myself!

Good luck. It is hard but you can find a new way of life. I'm a month into my weight loss, and already I'm feeling fitter, looking better and view food in a completely different way (I'm doing the 5:2 plan).
I wish you every success.

I am starting again too. It has been a really hard 12 months and the weight has piled on. I am determined to lose it all again.

Good luck

Good luck. I'm restarting so will lurk for motivation.

Thank you. Step 1 was no sugar on my Weetabix! Ha. It was bearable. Now to get through a day at work with no cake!

Treat this as a lifestyle change and not a 'diet'. Try and do something that you'll be able to stick at for the rest of your life, and stop the yo yo dieting.

I'm nearly 50 and have just come to that conclusion! I've lost a stone since January, and if I can shift another one before Christmas, that would be good.

Slow and steady wins the race! Try 5:2 or having you cake ( and eating it!) on Friday. Maybe wine on Fridays and Saturdays?

Good luck!

Must be the morning for weetabix! I had mine with low fat yogurt on, so it tasted a bit sweeter.

I got some options hot chocolate yesterday for cake time. Only 60cals and will hopefully help with the sweet cravings!

Well, have stuck to 1500, no cake, no wine... One day down and about a million to go! Ha. The thing is, I can't help thinking that reading about 'way of life' etc has been my downfall this time. If I have one glass of wine, or one cake, I just end up having more that day or the next because I have started. Like eating back exercise calories... I wonder if it is just better to be a bit strict for a bit?! But what do I know? I'm really fat Grin
