I know everyone says the slower it comes off the better but this is a bit silly.

I have been under my caloorie goal for the day everyday bar one for 58 days and I have lost 6 lbs. I am very overweight and have 4 stone to lose so it is that reason. I am also using a fitbit and ensuring I get every target green every day.
I know its still 6lbs off and I should be glad but its a wee bit disheartening. Anyone else had this then sped up for some reason, I keep hoping I will turn a corner and adding extra excercise in. I dont eat my excercise calories back but if I have done a lot I will allow myself to go up to 1500 calories while still staying under the target.
Target is 1180 calories a day.

You need to eat more. If you are not eating at least 1200 cal a day then your body thinks it's in hibernation mode and stores fat.

VirginiaWoofs · 15/04/2015 16:04

You need to eat more! Aim for 1500 a day minimum!

I always figured the app must underestimate massively so tried to compensate for it. Maybe not. I have tried to up the excercise so I guess I will need a few more calories, II am just cautious of getting caught up in the I ran for 10mins so can eat a bucket of chicken mentality that normally get s me.

I have a lot to lose, and am on 1750 calories a day. If you have 4 stone to lose I think you're not on enough. I use this calorie calculator. I've lost nearly a stone this month and have enjoyed my food and had enough not to feel deprived. Put your stats in and see what it suggests. I go for a 20% calorie reduction from tdee.

Hibernation or starvation mode are a bit of a myth - and 20 calories under 1200 isn't significant.

How accurate is your calorie counting - do you weigh and measure everything?

LilyBobtail · 23/04/2015 19:07

I just posted this on the other thread. Are you sure you are counting absolutely everything? Are the calories from nutritious food? Are you doing any exercise? www.aworkoutroutine.com/starvation-mode/
