Hope someone can help. 2nd week weigh in and have only lost half lb ( 3 1st wk). On 1240 cal a day not using all every day though. Should I use my exercise ones or not? Am I eating enough? Have noticed my fat perrcentage which is set at 30% is almost always over the limit, could this be where I'm going wrong. If anyone has any ideas for meals Am on school hols atm much harder to control.

3 1/2 Ibs in two weeks - that's fab! Possibly the only mistake you're making is having a too small time frame? How about carrying in as you are and seeing how much you've lost at 6 weeks? I think your diet just needs more longevity. Make sure you're getting calories from fruit and veg and don't be scared of a bit of fat (it makes you feel satisfied) but I would avoid sugary sources of calories like a plague. Good luck!

Thanks Yes you're prob right. I've got 7 week still hols and would love to lose 10lbs more by then. Just find it sooooo much harder to lose weight post 50. Menopause sucks.

Are you weighing and measuring everything?

Are you currently eating your exercise calories?

Have you started exercising more? Are you drinking enough water. It could be water retention masking the fat loss.

(I agree with the previous poster, 3.5lb in two weeks is good).

I didn't lose weight on MFP until I stopped using my exercise calories. Been pretty slow & steady since then, though - I'm using my previous knowledge of WW along with a 'high protein low GI' approach to make good food choices, because hunger is a real issue for me. Stick at it though, it takes a few weeks to establish a trend.

Thanks guys. Think I'm maybe not eating enough or eating the wrong things (ie Peanut butter from the jar!) and then missing meals to compensate. I understand the hunger thing Walkacrossthesand especially around 4 o'clock.
Am running 20 mins 3 times a week do you think that's enough?

Vivacia · 03/04/2015 18:50

"Not eating enough" wouldn't make sense, unless you mean that you only count calories six days a week and then feast on the seventh or something Confused

An hour's running per week is going to be pretty negligible. Great for your fitness but not significant in terms of creating a calorie deficit.

Are you weighing the jar before and after eating??
