I joined MFP in the new year. I understand how to log food and exercise but I don't like the community. Its too americanised and too fast paced to keep up.

I do want support from others though so how can I make it work for me?

Previously I've used WW online and that really worked for me because it had challenges and message boards (with UK people and british language) but money is tight and I want to do a free/cheapy diet.

Need to work on eating the right things too Blush

I don't find the community great but come on here for that. How much are you trying to lose?
I'm 5'4" and started 3 weeks ago at 10st 12lbs. I'm now 10st 4lbs. This week I only lost 1lb which is frustrating as I've Ben under my 1200 calories everyday. My target is 9st 4lbs but that might be a bit ambitious. I don't really exercise much and really have no desire to but at least I'm in a healthier bmi range and clothes are starting to be less tight. I'd love to get back into my suit trousers comfortably though Grin
