Wonder if anyone can share experiences.
I have a ridiculous addiction to crisps..... how can I break this addiction? Has anyone had an addiction to a particular food and managed to get past it? Getting pretty desperate

I'm addicted to biscuits. I can never have one, or even two or even stop at half a dozen, so I've stopped buying them!

We don't have them in the house at all.

Could you stop buying crisps?

Same as mazzle, I could dip biscuits in my tea all day. I now only buy biscuits the dc like and ones I dont. If out and offered one I might have one but no more than that.
Other than going cold turkey, if you can be strict, have half a packet and reseal with a clip. Count the calories and keep within your set number of calories.

Having suffered from bulimia, and gorged myself silly on all 'bad' foods before purging and then restricting them until my will power failed and then gorging myself again. I can promise you, the only way to get over your addiction is to manage what you eat properly. Plan your meals in advance, and plan your daily packet of crisps. Eat them, enjoy them, and then distract yourself with anything you can until the craving for more goes away. It should pass after 20 minutes. If you start today, you will have beaten your craving in two weeks and not have denied yourself. I have two chocolate biscuit every day. I never eat any more than that. In the early days I'd eat them and then go for a walk or take a long bath. Now I just eat them and don't need the distractions any more.
