Surely there must be loads of calorie-counters out there, though I suspect many are CC via 5:2.

I'm CC'ing for 49 days, to the start of the DC's school hols. (Am only on day 45 but started at 12/1, was 11/11 this morning!) I am 'on' 1300 a day but must say I've been under-eating quite a lot so must increase a bit.

Well done!

I wonder whether losing weight to our goal is such a slog that we don't feel elation when we get there- maybe we 'fear' that to keep the weight off we're going to have to restrict forever? Maybe keeping at this new weight for a month is the way to go so you can get used to it.

I confess that I look at my 11/8 body and don't think it looks any different to my 13/2 one I had 2 years ago!

Personally, I've stalled at 11/8. I upped my cal intake a bit having read stuff on the Fat2Fit board (elsewhere) that advocates finding your tdee and maybe just reducing by 300-400 cals, not 700 but of course that slows weight loss down- in my case, to zero... So I'm eating 300+ cals less than my energy needs a day but not losing weight [confusing] which is demoralising!

What's your BMI now? Could you lose 7lbs more? OOI?

How frustrating Erebus - I did have a period of about 10 days where i lost nothing but then suddenly dropped about 3 pounds quickly, i've no idea why though.

BMI is about 21 according to bbc calculator. I could lost up to another 11 pounds and still have a normal BMI but i don't think i would be able to maintain at the lowest end of normal. I think I will try and maintain for a couple of weeks at least and see how i feel then. That will allow me to eat a bit more normally and I can see how well I can stick to maintenance calories on MFP and how having maintenance calories affects me - will i end up gaining? (its an extra 450 calories a day to what im allowed now!)

gaggiagirl · 29/06/2013 22:21

Hi HaPPY maintenance calories worries me too even the recommended daily allowance of 2000 calories for an adult female is just ker-azy! If I ate 2000 calories a day I would be huuuuuuuuge.
I've lost another pound this week so not far off my target but what the heck will i do when i reach my targetConfused

Day 32- and still 11/8!

I am beginning to realise my TDEE (total daily energy expenditure, I think!) calculation must be waaay out. I thought it was about 2200, but I'm eating 1700 odd and not losing anything!

LittenTree · 03/07/2013 12:04

Weighed this morning (am home from work with a back strain Sad and am 11/7!

At last, some progress!

LittenTree · 03/07/2013 14:49

Sorry, meant to say I name changed as I, oddly, couldn't log on as Erebus!

gaggiagirl · 11/07/2013 18:44

Yay!!! A pound off is fab.
keep it up. my scales are doing mystery things again but DP said i looked super slim so that's fine by me. I'm still ccing like a trooper though.

Erebus · 12/07/2013 09:58

Well, I've been all over the shop weight-wise over the past week! AF threatened an appearance- and I put on 5 lbs overnight. I was frankly, shocked. Esp as I'm 50, fgs. Where's my menopause??!

Anyway, today I was 11/9 so heading back in the right direction, at least but I am rather perturbed at a 5lb gain in one hit!

Glad someone is noticing your weight loss, gaggia, an well done with the CC'ing. I am tending to eat the same thing over and over again because I know its calorific value...

Sticking to what you know is a good thing IMO
I ate a baguette today and feel rubbish about it boooooooo.

HaPPy8 · 08/08/2013 08:09

Im struggling with maintenance. Eating around 1700 calories a day, exercise 3x per week, and have gained back 4 pounds. I need the discipline of being strict with calories I think. Anyone else struggle with this? Its very disheartening. How strange that a couple of pounds on the scales can make you feel bad for the whole day :/

gaggiagirl · 11/09/2013 20:42

Well I did it! I'm 8st 11lb only one pound from my target.

To be honest I'm going to lose some more I don't feel 100% delighted, shame but maybe another 4lb and I'll be happy.

happy don't be disheartened! Its only 4lb stay focused and you will soon lose it, better now than later you can do this!
