urgent advice please.....

my ds has come home today after being bullied again for the 4th time in 2 weeks, by the same boy... today was a huge lump to the head where he had been hit and pushed onto a table leg. School has done f* all so far, despite me goig to head... need to take it higher, but don't know the right terminology..... is there something called a child safety advisory body? or something similar?

he's 5 btw..... and the only punishment this other child has had is to miss a playtime

You need to get a copy of the school bullying policy.
You need to get a copy of the school welfare policy as a bump to to the head should have been reported directly to you.

Keep a diary of events - what happened when and where etc.

Then go back to the head with everything in wriitng. Stick to the facts and keep emotion out of it. ensure you get a written reply.

Go back in ask what has been done to sort out the situation, ask to see their bullying policy and see if they are following it. If you're not happy tell them. You can go to the BOG or the LEA, if you want to take it further.

such a chuffing small school... governors are parents of the child who did it... so no faith there.... scratching my head as to what the phrase is... something like child support and safety group

But if you wrote to the BOG, would the parents of the child involved not have to side aside? They wouldn't be allowed to deal with a complaint against their own child surely? I wouldn't let it put you off.
