My 5 year old has a best friend and the family are friends so spend time outside of school
together also. My boy is always so excited about seeing his friend but as soon as we meet up together I notice his friend is bossy wants to dominate all the games they play together. He says unkind things to him and calls him names like 'baby'. Today he got hold of my sons bike and rode it off shouting ill race you so my son ran alongside and won. My son got upset and came crying to me because this boy had said he won. Later on my son was crying on the floor and said his friend had pushed him..I asked why and he said because he said his bike was his and when my son said no and pushed him he pushed back but harder.
My son does push also and they fight but he always ends up worse off.
When we were walking home I said maybe play with some other children at school but he said he likes playing with this boy as he thinks of the cool games and he can't think of games himself and his own games are boring and no one else wants to play with him. I am upset he has this low self worth about things and not sure how to deal with this situation. Any advice would be appreciated!
