What to do?

My daughter is starting secondary school in September. She was told by a girl she knows outside of school that a girl that went to her primary school and is currently in Year 7 in another secondary has an issue with her and is going to punch my daughter in the face when she sees her. This came completely out of the blue as my daughter was never friends or spoke to the girl in question when they was at primary school as she was in the year above.
The girl in question has commented on a video my daughter posted online asking what secondary school she is going to and someone else has put the schools name. My daughter is now worried that the girl is going to show up outside of the school one day when she starts in September.
I have the girls mums number through an old primary school mum that was her friend and I want to call the mum and discuss her daughters alleged threats against my daughter but my daughter is scared it is going to make it worse.
I know a parent of a child that attends the same school the girl goes to and she said the mum has no control over her, she is on the verge of being kicked out of school and her behaviour is appalling.
Im really sad this is happening as my daughter is so polite and sweet and doesn’t deserve to start school in September with this worry but I don’t know if contacting the mum will make things worse. Any advice is appreciated x

Hi, I had a similar issue with my Son

Tell your daughter to not be afraid.
That little girl is a bully or bully in the making.

The best way to act with bullies is to NOT be afraid.

This is a life lesson, to stand up to bullies and hold your head high.

All the best.
