My daughter was attacked at school by 3 girls, one being the most involved with assaulting her. She's in P7 and soon to go on to high school. My daughter was kicked in the head and held down by her hair in the playground until a PSA seen the commotion and separated them.
I wasn't notified that the incident had happened until my daughter came home from school, I had to phone the school to ask why wasn't I notified, they were busy was the answer I received. I contacted the police as the girls in question are now aged 12 and age of criminal responsibility. I attended the school as I wasn't happy with their feedback and I wanted to know what are the protocols for these incidents and what consequences were in place, long and short I got told 'theres not much we can do except we phoned the other child parent and asked that they change their child's mindset' and then said they had advised the girl not to approach my daughter again, even though this one in particular student has a list as long as my arm for similar incidents against other kids and has openly said that she will do it again. I've had to keep my daughter off school to ensure her safety due to my lack of faith in the school. I feel so defeated and almost like I've been useless in helping my daughter, what other routes can I possibly do for some sort of action against the perp student ?
