I emailed my son's teacher, I am happy with the teacher's help.
shall I contact with school safeguarding as well? before I contact to school safeguarding, shall I let my son's teacher know?
it is not a minor bullying, they nearly 10 years old,

I suggest you read the school's anti-bullying policy (should be on their website) and find out what they say they will do.

If you are happy with the teacher's help, I would leave it at that. Or you could ask the teacher "what happens next" (if not covered by the policy).

Thanks, as my son was hurt, his cheek swollen and gum is painful, he got headache, this is serious assault, that boy throw a bean bag hardly to my son, school contacted the boy's parents. But my friend said I should call the police as he is 10 year old, as this bullying is not first time, before is minor bullying, and some classmates complained this boy in the past.
My concern is ongoing bullying.
