I'm making things worse

My child is being bullied by older children in school. The school is aware and things are being put in place, but it's ongoing.

Because of this my child has chosen to associate with certain individuals and is taking that behaviour home in top of the feelings he has given what he's going through

My patience is wearing thin and we keep butting heads and I'm worried I'm actually making things worse. He has now began swearing and hitting me

Has anybody been through anything similar and/or have any tips

I am going through similar and do not know what to do. Understandably, their behaviour becomes different to usual.

Was it the right thing to tell the school? (I absolutely think it is) I am debating. My DD (14) does not want me to tell the school but I feel I must.

I am so sorry you are going through this, it is the worst.

Initially I feel like the school did make it worse they questioned him numerous times as well as other children.

After that they had tried to mask the severity of it and would often tell me everything was fine.

I then had a meeting with head of year and deputy head and feel like things are finally being taken seriously and I do get regular emails on what's happening.

I think if there is a teacher your child is fond of maybe reach out to them and ask them how you would like things to be approached
