So yesterday I passed my driving test , so prod of myself as it's taken YEARS to get the courage ,
I park my car in the middle of the lines all be it a little squint but not block anyone and come back to a note .

about how my parking is dog shit and that I must be a female as no self respecting male would park like this !
from a doctor ( I work at a hospital )

I am and was so so upset I cried the minuet I seen it ..
now I feel so deflated anyone any advice how to pick myself up

Well you have - who ever did this is an utter arsehole - they probably have a thing for the space you used and was most put out about the space nicking

DD just passed her test and new drivers are nervous!

Personally I’d dump that message in the notice board and show every one!!

I was so upset when I saw it I was so proud of my wee parking and that --- ruined it .

Congratulations on passing your test! Fantastic achievement and sounds like you had to push through some things too :)

It takes time to build confidence when driving and for someone reason bullies in cars (almost exclusively male ime) come running out the woodwork during the first 12 months. You need to find your inner bitch and mentally tell them to do one whenever they pop up.

Yes, it's upsetting and scary sometimes when you encounter them but, trust me, you have to realise that it's not about you, it's about them. People who kick off in cars, it's never you making the mistake- it's them and they're losing their shit because they know it.

Once you realise this, it gets easier to mentally them to f* off and continue with your day.

Besides, some consultants are arrogant arses who think they're gods gift.

The first year of driving was the most stressful for me, but once I realised it wasn't personal, I began to have more confidence in my driving. You will too.

You really do need to stick the note on a notice board at work so everyone can see what a sexist twat this dr is. Don’t know the right ward? Photocopy it and put it on every single level of the lift/stairwell! They might think twice about their attitude going forward!! Don’t let it deflate you, they’re an arse.

Are you sure the sexist arse is a doctor though? Just seems a bit unlikely given that the note was legible.

If you know its from a doctor, report it to your hospital hr, that's a sexist nasty thing to write.

I agree with PP - you learn to drive after you pass your test and that includes ignoring dickheads.

If it just said “from a doctor” it was probably some bored kid bunking off school. If it gave the name of an actual doctor your should report to HR.

I once parked rubbish I’m generally quite good I’d had a bad morning ( no excuse ) my mind was elsewhere and I’d not really thought came back to a note it wasn’t that bad just said something like crap parking love . I was really upset I think because I was having a bad time and it tipped me over the edge .
