Overweight

My daughter is 26 and hugely overweight. She has tried to diet but relapses. At work when she was on her diet, her manager and a few colleagues taunted her about her weight, saying she's probably got 10 choc bars in her drawer. She gets called piggy all the time and when she has lunch they make snide comments. Obviously she finds this upsetting and said I know I'm huge but I can't help it. I find this all so upsetting as she is my daughter and I love her dearly and want to help but without upsetting her. She suffers with anxiety.

There are two separate issues here, her weight and the bullying. Her weight is only a problem if she wants to change it and there are many ways you could help her with that. The bullying however is the major problem here and you should be helping her immediately to escalate a formal complaint to her workplace.

Report them for bullying and go on a diet (her not you)

I've told her too, but she won't report it. I have managed to get her to keep a diary of it all. She thinks her manager wants her gone hence why the bullying, but she said I won't be going. Obviously there are no grounds to sack her so they are hoping if they bully her she will leave.
