Son kicked

I’m so angry! I know I’d go in guns blazing but I’m just venting. My son started high school this week. He’s 12, quite timid, shy also small. He was running to his class and an older boy out of nowhere kicked him in the leg. Really gave him a sore one. All he says the boys in about 3rd year, so 14 years. Plus he had red hair. What gives some little twat the right to do that. I tried to explain to my son, it was nothing personal, if it wasn’t you, it would have been the next kids running along. The boy was showing of to his friends. He dosent know this boy and dosent know his name. I’m so angry. It’s not the first story he’s told me about boys in his class being hit by older kids. I know I’m reading to much into this and should just let it go. But I feel like finding out who this twat is and reporting him. Which would be difficult as there is a few thousand at the school. Sorry for the long post. Please tell your kids to be kind

My dd is ginger and it’s never been an issue.

secondary school kids can be so bloody nasty your child will have to stand up for himself or he’ll be seen as weak and an east target. It takes a while but he’ll get there

No the boy who kicked him was ginger, sorry. I was just describing the wee shi** who kicked him

Diamondwhiteandthe80s · 19/08/2022 13:21

Aye I think he’s got it in him to hit back, he can throw a good punch. Iv told him if someone hits you, hit back. But when it’s a bigger boy picking on a youngster that’s just wrong! Cowards in groups.

Honestly I would report it. That bully is going to be picking on other younger kids too. The teachers need to know.

What's the relevance of the boy who kicked him having red hair?

Report it to the school.

dribblewibble
that’s how my son described him, if he’d had blonde hair, he would have said that, or dark hair. I have already explained this. How can we report if we don’t know who it is?

Diamondwhiteandthe80s · 19/08/2022 14:36

haha I forgot I name changed earlier lol 😂

It sounds like its going to be one of those 'things' like bundling in corridors etc.

The sooner you report it the sooner the school can get ahead of the trend. Especially if you can get a good description of the leaders of this.
