School ignoring me

6 replies

NUSANottm · 24/09/2021 16:35

I'm a parent of child that has been bullied since starting y7, about 3 years ago. My son was also abused. In summer I got social workers and I was harassed by them. The school has lost all bullying logs till this year and they won't admit any wrongdoing. My complaints are being ignored and any email is not being acknowledged. This school (NUSA) made the national headlines 3 years ago for bullying. Is there anyone who can really help?

Call OFSTED

How can I call OFSTED? It's an academy in Nottingham. I called the police and they said they did not want to take any action against the school or social workers. They gave me a number. As far as I can remember it was the Department Of Education and they said they cannot do anything because it's an academy. (That's what I can remember). In my personal opinion, the school is treating my son and my family worse than what bullies did to him.

@NUSANottm

Please refer to their bullying policy which should be displayed on the school's website.

what about the local authority?

Has your DS refused to go to school? With DD as soon as she refused to go to school, we were taken seriously, along with logging everything, do you not have logs of everything you sent the school, was there any communication back from them at the time? Unfortunately even with our school taking it seriously, their hands appear tied as to what they can do with the bullies, we ended up moving schools, which has been a very positive move.

What do you mean by 'I got social workers' ?
Did you contact the SS or did school refer you?
