Hello everyone,

Please help me by telling me the process/policy/procedure for bullying? My child's getting bullied at school, he's just been diagnosed with high functioning autism (he is 9) and is struggling with a child at school that has been quite unkind to him. Iv been into the school many many times, written letters and emails etc but periodically it crops up and my child gets upset and anxious and I want to put a big full stop to it now! Xx

On the school website they should have their anti-bullying policy which outlines exactly what they do to combat it. In my school, if you complain about bullying, you're asked to go home, write a log of all incidents then its investigated and monitored.

But get hold of the policy and get ready to quote it word for word

Ok so similar happened to my son, school would sort or say they would then I found out the deputy head started blaming him for things he hadn't done. At that point we decided to move and he starts a new school in September. Sometimes big decisions have to be made, although it's unfair if it's not going to change it seemed the only option for us. I have no time for bullying and sadly there will always be some. Fingers crossed the new school has kinder children. My friend who was a teacher says kids bully if something for them is out of control but at the end of the day you want your child to be safe.
