Governor intimidating

A while back my dc was bullied very badly for a prolonged period. Moved schools as the one in question was just terrible and very cliquey with the bully’s family.
Roll on some time and one of the governors (they were all also very cliquey with the Headteacher and unprofessional) is still behaving very oddly when we see them.
I drive past them to our new school and they stare at me intensely and on one occasion gave my dc a really nasty stare. They also drive very erratically near us. Either really fast or slowing right down.
We had to make a complaint about them as they divulged personal information to the public about our child and it was very concerning.

It’s very weird as we have moved on but this person clearly hasn’t and is trying to be noticed or something but it makes me feel quite intimidated every time I pass them.

They act like butter wouldn’t melt to others but that’s sadly not really the case.

Reading this back it makes me realise that they’re possibly not right in the head but even so - what would you do? Really fed up with it.

Record the strange behaviours then send them to the council perhaps along with a complaint about breach of privacy

Governors do have a code of conduct to adhere to. You could complain to the Chair of Governors and if no joy then to the NGA.

If you do feel intimidated though, you could pop in to your local police station and talk over your options

flumpybear Thanks for the advice. We already went through complaints and the governors were warned about breaching privacy but then did it again. What concerns me is that it seems anyone can be a governor even if they are completely unfit (clearly) ... x

MsJolly Approaching the police might be an idea actually. The council really did nothing which was of great concern and probably why this governor thinks they can do what they like. This might be my only option. Thank you x
