School not dealing with bully

sailorsgal · 10/10/2014 21:10

Ds 8 is been bullied to the point he said he wants to kill himself. Sad Today the bully said to ds " your life is very important but I can take it away from you. " Ds got a black eye last term. I don't see the school doing anything. I have taken ds to gp and have spoken to local children's services but they can't intervene as it's a private school. Angry Any advice appreciated.

If your child is being bullied/terrorised and the fee paying school don't want to do anything then you need to report the threats to the police and find a new school

Find a new school!!

This is outrageous. Have you contacted the head teacher? Do they know about this latest incident? Can you contact the chair of governors as well? Ask to see a copy of their bullying policy.

This school is failing your child.

If it had been a state school I would have advised contacting the LEA and ofsted as well.

we have had two more incidents this week. One where bully has said to ds on Friday " your life is very important but I can take it away" I have spoken to local children's services but they are not able to do anything as private school. Shock
I am in the process of writing to the goveners. Headmaster not there as suspended but that's another story.

We have been there since nursery so why should we move. I have looked at another school but more expensive and more travelling time.

Why is your child still in this school? Is there not a decent state school nearby that he can go to?

ds doesn't want to leave as has good friends there.
