heartbroken for my poor dn

Poor niece is being bullied. Apparently the kids on her table at school talk about the 'XXXXX' touch. If she touches anything that isn't her own, they say 'you've got the touch' and then they pass it on.

Little gits. Dn has Tourettes so already struggles. And WTF is the teacher doing? How come she hasn't noticed? My sister talked to them when dn was diagnosed, to alert them to the risk of bullying, and gave them lots of info. They had a class talk about how everyone is different and has different quirks and so on. But this has been going on... just feel so desperately sad for her.

Thankfully she's moving schools at the end of this term, but it's heartbreaking that she's been subjected to this.

Has her teacher been told?

Because that sort of thing can be done very easily under the radar-kids aren't stupid, they won't do it while there is someone to hear.
I was subject to low level bullying for about 3 years from a girl in my class. When dm went in, out of the seven teachers in the school, only one of them said "yes, she's a problem", the others expressed their shock. They were generally good teachers too, just this girl was very careful that she did anything (not just to me) where it wouldn't be seen/heard.
Telling the head stopped it overnight. Don't know what he said to her, but it worked, plus the teachers were aware, and she then was generally made sure that she was not alone with anyone.

She's been told now. Yes, I hope they do something about it, but my niece's time there has not been a happy experience for all sorts of reasons.

Sorry to hear about your experiences, btw. Bullying is miserable - I had a phase of it at one particular school and I think it can mark you for life.
