would the next year teacher be made aware of bullying issue in previous year?

Ds was bullied by a boy in year 3, I wasn't the only parent to go in several times to complain. I'm hoping all us ok now however knowing this boy I think the odd word may start again. Would the new teacher be made aware if previous behaviour as I would want to nip it in the bud, I donor want my ds being miserable again for a whole year

If I were you, I would make a quick appointment for a chat with the teacher...and tell her what happened. Stress that you don't want her to think that you are bad mouthing the boy and that you hope it's all over and done with but that you also want your DD to be safe and happy and felt that it wouldn't hurt for her to know about what had happened.

If she does know then no harm done...if she doesn't then she will be aware of any issues if something does happen...she'll then be able to consider the past when dealing with the present.

This isn't going to be much help. My dd had an issue with another child in year 4 , the child was moved to another class. I don't know whether the year 5 teacher was told but the year 6 teacher was not told. I rang the senior school to inform the year 7 head of year and to make sure that they hadn't been put back in the same class

I agree with Neo that I will do no harm to have a quick chat with the new teacher
