my child is being bullied

im at the end of my tether, my child is being bullied where i live, she is only 7 and its totally destroying her, i just dont know wat to do. i went to the parent of the main person that is doing it and obviously they arent caring to much as it is still happening. my daughter is soft with people and lets them walk over her. why are people so cruel. please could someone give me some advice

Firstly, take a deep breath and try to think about why the other child might be bullying your daughter-is something missing in her life. Remember the old phrase "keep your friends close and your enemies closer," sometimes people bully because of self esteem issues. Could you help the other child change their actions by asking her/ him how she is and showing her kindness. Sometimes it takes them by surprise and can work miracles. Otherwise try to give your daughter some strategies for dealing with it. Talk her through what is happening and suggest what she might do to change things! Not always easy as emotions run high when it is your child. Hope that is helpful.
