My son is good friends with 2 other lads.
There is another group of 3 lads.
They appear to have taken against each other.
Words are said.
My son has had his head smacked against a wall - he had a huge lump.
He has bruises on his shins from being kicked.
Today he got kicked in the balls.
Now, my son is not entirely innocent in this. His friends suport one football team. The other boys another. They goad each other, you know "your team is bad" etc.
I have told my son time & time again to just walk away. But he can't resist.
So today I have gone in to see the teacher. This is the 3rd time btw. Have seen her once before & the headmaster when his head was bashed.
Today she is saying to me that it's all of them, they are all at fault.
I am inclined to agree & tbh I don't care about words. I would never go in if words are said & I have told my son I don't care. I do care about the violence though.
So she tells me that the reson my son gets hit is because my son is better at speaking than the others. Basically they can't argue with him as he's better at that so they resort to hitting.
This is not solving the problem though is it. My son is still getting hit.
I will see how it goes.
Now, I do no that DS must stay away from these boys & ignore what they say & not retort back. Easier said than done though isn't it.
I feel like it's an excuse though. He's getting hit/kicked because he can argue better.
DS is not violent towards them btw. My dh ahs said to my son, hit them back & is trying to teach him how to punch. DS hasn't though. And he is coming off worse.
The school is trying to deal with it & that I do appreciate. But I want the violence to stop.
I will see how it goes but how do I take it further if nothing stops.
Thank you.
Oh & if I'm being OTT, let me know!
