Bullies in year 6 and next year!!!!!!!!!!

I realy dont know where to turn. I have applied for senior school for my daughter at our local school and now want to retract this.
She has recently been hit over the head and throttle by bullies. Not only does she not want to school she does not want to go up with them next year.
She is a bright girl and this move will be so important. I dont know what I should do.

You should speak with the HT right away....the Head teacher that is, of the current school....sh or he needs to nip this in the bud and also make sure these girls are not in your DDs class at the new school. Why should your DD go to a different school??

Thank you. It is boys as well and there are at least 8 if not more. She said its like torture going to school now. Have just asked council to send me a form to change my application. However these schools are over subscribed, so we will see. Going in to speak to head today, hopefully things will be clearer then.

The school has a legal duty of care to you daughter. If they do not stop this bullying then they are responsible as a school and as individuals - but they can't do anything if they do not know about it.

So you must go and tell the HT. I would also put it in writing and get it acknowledged.

Your child is being assaulted which is a criminal matter - something to remind the HT in any conversation. It will clarify the thinking of the HT.
