Would you spend money on a pj top/dress that allowed you to sleep bra free?

I personally find sleeping in a bra uncomfortable and wonder if others are the same? If there was a top that allowed me to sleep bra less but not worry about leaks or waking up soaked I would purchase! Let me know your thoughts!

I’m pretty sure this already exists, I remember finding one when looking for a maternity bra

Middlechild3 · 09/01/2026 19:09

people sleep in bras? why?

I needed a soft bra to hold my pads to stop me leaking in the night. I wouldn't pay for a specific top though, a very lightweight bra was fine.

AwkwardPaws27 · 09/01/2026 19:13

The stretchy bralet type PJ tops from Primark are perfect for this, they give a little support without being restrictive, hold breast pads in place well overnight, and are easy to pull up or down to feed in.

Flibbertyfloo · 09/01/2026 19:14

Do you mean for holding breast pads in place? I never wore a bra at night through years of feeding. But I do remember that Frugi did the sort of thing you're talking about.

Cosleepingadvice · 09/01/2026 19:15

I wore a soft crop top style bra to hold the pads in place. In the summer, I had some M&S and Seraphine bf vest tops that sort of had an in built shelf / bra bit. With those, I could just slip the pads on the shelf bit and they were fine. I found them too cold in the winter though (and too many layers to wear under pjs).

Allaboutthecats · 09/01/2026 19:20

No. Bravado seamless bras were super comfy to sleep in so no need.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 09/01/2026 20:55

JojoMamanBebe already do something like this.

TheHeartyJadeHiker · 09/01/2026 21:22

if it’s to hold pads in, I just slept in my breastfeeding bras as they were non wired. Wasn’t mega comfy but I tried those built in bra tops from bravissimo and the pads just shifted immediately. I’m a 32gg now and was a 32j then so if you’re big boobed, your options are limited. I’m now in menopause and my boobs are so painful I have to sleep in a bra and cannot find a comfy option.

ProfessionalPirate · 09/01/2026 21:22

Have you tried any specific maternity sleep bras? I could never sleep in a normal day-bra but maternity sleep bras are very soft and comfortable while still being able to hold your pads in place.

TheBlueKoala · 09/01/2026 21:25

Why would you sleep in a bra?? Is that a thing?

@TheBlueKoala This is the breastfeeding section - does that not explain why, together with OP mentioning leaking?

Have you missed what topic this is in? There are some of us when breastfeeding that would have ended up soaked if we hadn’t used pads at night and some kind of bra is sort of necessary to keep the pad in place?

catspyjamas1 · 09/01/2026 21:58

I'm 44 years old and have never slept with a bra on. WTF. Who sleeps with a bra on?!?!

catspyjamas1 · 09/01/2026 22:00

This is showing up in Trending and some pp (like me) don't pay attention to where its originally posted by OP.

Women who are breastfeeding and require pads due to leakage?? Seriously, why can’t people fucking read.

TerrysNeapolitan · 09/01/2026 22:09

This has showed up in trending so it is not immediately apparent it is referring to nighttime bra and breastfeeding - it took me a few posts in the get to the heart of what the topic was.

And yet the OP, which was only 2 sentences long, referred to ‘leaks’ and ‘waking up soaked’. What did you think that was about?

😳😳😳 It came up on my feed and I admit that I only read the title. My bad.

Sorry!!! It came up on my feed. I have never breastfed and I didn't see which section it was on. I am out of here with the tail between my legs..
