Tips for pumping and best breast pumps

I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with my second child and would like to breastfeed and pump.
I attempted to breastfeed my 1st, however he didn’t latch so I exclusively pumped instead. I ended up having a massive oversupply, and felt like my boobs were already full and leaking again even 30 mins after emptying completely.
I very quickly got severe mastitis and ended up in hospital for a few days.
I would love to pump for my 2nd baby however am terrified it will happen again.
do you have any tips on the best way to start pumping that won’t cause mastitis. (E.g. how often to do it, how long to pump for, when to begin increasing it)
and any recommendations of breast pumps?
previously had the momcozy and hated it. Am currently considering a hospital grade pump like spectra

There's loads of information about pumping on a YouTube channel called new little life, which I avidly watched but then my second latched fine and I just didn't bother pumping at all!

I exclusively pumped using the Spectra S1 and it was truly amazing. So grateful for that pump!
if you end up exclusively pumping, there’s a great website - exclusivepumping.com
