Breastfeeding; milk supply drastically dropped!

Help!

Hi i really need some advice, recommendations etc!

My daughter is 10 months old and breast fed, and my milk supply has suddenly drastically dropped!

She was 4 weeks early at birth and we have had a few issue along the way. She was dropping in percentile a few weeks back however she is now hack on the 9th centile for height and weight however this month i had a bad period and was put on tablets by the doctor but now over the course of 1 week my milk dropped, it always dips around my periods but i have never had this issue.

There are several reason i know it has dropped main one being my girl would only latch for a few seconds/ minutes and then come off screaming, looking for milk; my boobs feel deflated and empty. I then pumped instead of feeding in hopes to give her a bottle however i didnt get an more than 20mls total after 40 minutes. I then had to you frozen milk i had from when i was building my stash, she had 4oz and was the happiest shes been for the whole week, i did the same again 4 hours later and then same thing only this time i had 10ml in 60 minutes total. She had another bottle again and she was happy.

Ive always had a good suply; more than enough. When i was previously pumping along side breast feeding for my stash i would get about 2-4 oz after feeding her.

For back story i have had issues with my health that have also led to this including being anemic, ive been on iron for 3 months but it keeps declining. This was caused by starting my periods 5 weeks post parturm despite exclusively breast feeding. I was then put on tablets Tranexamic acid to reduce the amount of bleeding each month, which i started last week( the period that caused the drop) however it make it alot heavier and longer and now my milk to have just ‘disappeared’

I have a blood test booked Thursday for indepth bloods but i wont have the result for a week, in the mean time i am going to try and get another appointment with the docotr to see if there is anything they can do.

I have started taken moringa 500mg once daily
And have just ordered fenugreek tabkets too at 500mg, im not sure how much of this to have of if i can up the moringa?

I have been looking at Domperidone, not sure if the doctor can perscribe it or something similar? Either way if any one has had any experience then could you please share.

I am trying to drink about a gallon a day of water.
Eating 3+ meals a day full of goodnesss and foods good for milk supply.

I am trying to get baby girl to feed as much as possible but she will not latch because there is nothint coming out.

Im trying to power punp evey 3-4 hours is this right?

Ive got nothing against formula but breast milk is what i want my my little one.

Im literally desperate sorry if none of this makes sense

This is so relatable. DD is also 10m and ive always been a slight over supplier. I can only express half an ounce to 2 ounces combined now! It’s so frustrating as she has started her nursery settles etc now so I have to keep using freezer stash.

So many people said they just couldn’t pump at this stage it’s crazy. I spoke with the BF network who said the same which I just don’t get. I have watched a lot of YouTube videos where they exclusively pump for ages so how are they managing it!

Diet and fluid intake is important. I haven’t tried supplements yet so can’t comment on that, but I did get a new pump to try which didn’t hugely make a difference. I got some new flanges which do seem to get more out. Have you tried power pumping after your DD feeds? Also it’s tragic but maybe a night pump?

I don’t think breasts feel as full by this stage anyway though? But obviously you know your own body. Have you replaced your pump parts and remeasured to check your flange size is still right etc?

Thank you for your reply its nice to know im not alone. Im questioning myself so much too because now she is now playing silly buggers even when there is milks shes not taking it. Shes been 6 hours without milk now and normally shes every 4 hours. I don't know what to do. Even as a last resort ive asked my partner to have a go last night and today and he said last night that there was nothing but then earlier he said there was quite a bit. I don’t usually feed during the night so wondering if thats why there was nothing for him but it still dosent explain all the other stuff. To be totally honest even tho i used to punp 2-4 ounce more ive never really found a pump that works well for me. Ive had 5 different once and have the same issue. I am using the correct flanges and have even tired slightly smaller and slightly bigger and still no progress, if i pump after her feed i don't get anything.

maybe its just something that happens round about now?

hope this makes sense
