Breastfeeding and estrogen. Will stopping make me feel better?

My health visitor told me that breastfeeding can bring on symptoms similar to the menopause due to lower levels of estrogen.
Ive been having horrible ear pressure/ clicking and cracking and dry nose since the birth of my son 9 weeks ago. I can only assume it must be hormonal and perhaps triggered by breastfeeding.
can’t find anyone who has experience this post natal but plenty who seem to get these symptoms during pregnancy.
However it seems to be quite common during menopause so if menopause and breastfeeding are both low estrogen then could there be a connection?
Im wondering if stopping breastfeeding would make me feel better and has anyone found stopping BF helped with hormones? Thanks
