Hello, I’m desperately hoping for some advice please!
my son is nearly 5 months and mainly EBF, odd bottle of expressed milk here and there. We mainly feed to sleep (he can sleep with rocking too). He’s never been a great sleeper and has to have contact, I can deal with it by using carrier, bed sharing (safely) etc. the thing I’m starting to struggle with is for the past around 6 weeks he won’t sleep without my nipple in his mouth. He isn’t hungry and isn’t taking milk during these times, I’ll slyly take my nipple out of his mouth and he wakes flailing his arms and moanjng until I let him have the nipple, he usually falls back asleep very quickly. It’s making my nipples sore the constant unlatching all night long. He takes a dummy-ish during the day (not his favourite thing) but absolutely won’t at night, even if I try to trick him putting it at my breast and giving him a quick rock etc, the dummy seems to make him angry when I try to sneak it in place of a nipple.
