Electric breast pump recommendations

Hi guys, I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant and a first time mum to be! I'm trying to find an electric breast pump but there are so many options it's a little overwhelming! I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? Thanks in advance :)

My spectra is very good however I would rent the medela symphony pump directly from them. They're just so good and so much more efficient. It cost about 50 p/m but was very useful and was what I was used to.

I would say though there's no real need for a pump, if you'd like to give a bottle of EBM then use a Hakka on the side you're not feeding on and you'll collect plenty. I hated pumping, it was boring and long winded. Hated cleaning parts too. Hakka can drop in a Milton steriliser and done.

Honestly I wouldn't buy one until baby is here and BFing is established.

Unless there's a problem when baby arrives it's not advised to pump straight away.

I'd just get some breast pads and a nursing bra for now.

Congratulations on your PG Flowers

You might also find Breastfeeding, what supplies do I need useful too Wink

I’ll answer the question - Spectra… I pumped for 15 months and that was a god send because I needed a decent pump using it 6 times a day but will also reiterate the OP don’t bother until you see if you need it. If you do successfully breastfeed and just want to pump occasional bottle you don’t need something like the spectra just a little one of a hand pump is fine.

I got an Elvie. Was expensive, but also ace for colostrum harvesting.
Congrats on the pregnancy!
