Hiya all
I really want to buy an elvie breast pump, double or single ? And are they worth it?

I was thinking the same so looking forward to seeing the comments lol I had a medela swing double with first baby and it was great but the Elvie looks so discreet, just hoping it's as powerful x

This is exactly the same as me! I've heard good things about the pump you had. I've done a lot of research on the elvie and it seems to be the suction is great if every part is in place, not damp and on correctly, I've also heard that they are a pain when suction is not great and a pain to get it right.
Ugh so hard they are pricey if they don't work but such mixed reviews and I'm shocked there's been no comment here x

I had one, suction less good than hospital grade pump but similar to Medela swing. Much quieter than swing. Can put it under your t shirt. Definitely not convinced you could use it in the office without anyone noticing! But maybe in the car or at a push on the train under a thick hoodie...?

Aw it's such a difficult decision because it is so expensive. With baby number 2 I am not buying very much as everything from my 17 month old is pretty much in pristine condition so feel like I could buy the pump and not feel too guilty. Just don't want to be stupid. I did buy the band and used the medela swing hands free (had to use batteries) and that worked really well but I like the idea of zero cords and it being a bit quieter. I have so many videos of my little boy and u can hear the pump in the background 🙈 I would definately go for the double if I was going to do it though. Half the time needed. I made the mistake of buying the single medela swing first then after a week bought the double. I might actually look online and see if anyone is selling a second hand elvie and just thoroughly sterilise. Then if it's not as good I won't feel so bad. I am also shocked with the amount of comments, thought more people would have tried the pump xx

I have a single (only an occasional pumper so didn't need a double). I found it so good for pumping whilst baby fed on other side as no wires to get tangled etc. plus could be controlled from phone. I did use it in the car and school run at times. As I only had a single my boobs looked wonky so I just fastened a jacket up or hoodie to hide that.
