What is it like to use a electric breast pump ?

Are they worth the investment ?

My answers: it's ok, doesn't hurt, a less strong suck (IME) than from a baby. You feel a bit like a cow though. Worth it if you need or want to express more than occasionally (for example I used mine a lot because DD was prem and tube fed to start with, and then because I wanted her to have a daily bottle but of EBM not formula). I used an Ameda Lactaline (second hand) and it was good.
