Any experience of either? Medela is a single pump and the Ardo is a double.

Many thanks

I have no experience of the Ardo, but I spent a considerable amount of money on a Medela Swing and could never get more than a few drops from it!

The Ardo is a closed system pump so is more hygienic in the long run I believe - the Medela can get spores trapped in it because it's an open system.

I didn't pump very often because I hated doing it but I had to build up a stash for my sister's wedding and I found the Philips Avent manual pump did the job admirably for that.

Pumps seem to be very personal so you might have to test one or two before you know what's right for you. Also depends if you plan to pump a lot or not.

Good luck!

Thank you eagle, despite feeding my previous two children, I had no idea you can get open and closed pumps! Think I need to read up in this a bit more before deciding.

It's just for general use really.

Thanks

I only found out about the open/closed pumps from a MN thread ??

Expecting twins in May and am seriously thinking of investing in the Ardo Calypso as I've heard good things about it. Not sure quite when I'd have time to pump tho Xmas Grin

Congrats on your impending arrival!

And to you, twins how exciting! X
