Bleeding again after stopping?

I gave birth 4 weeks ago and nearly stopped bleeding at about 2 weeks (by nearly, I mean it was just brown blood mixed with discharge and there was hardly any of it), but after 4 days of the discharge, I am bleeding again :S I had a pretty bad labour resulting in forceps and an episiotomy and my partner is worried it could be my internal stitches, but wouldn't I feel some pain? I don't want to go to the doctors without asking someone that may have experienced this. I am combine feeding so it is possible this could be my period, but the blood is bright red and not as thick as period blood is and has no clots at all. It's not very heavy either. Hopefully somebody has some advice on this?? Would be greatly appreciative Thank you

You can bleed for up to 6 weeks after a birth. I did the same as you with my first dc. Its not uncommon for some blood to stay in womb and take longer to be flushed out. The bf is what's helping your womb contract and flush out all remaining blood. Nothing to be worried about.

i had his as well, it can happen if you have been doing more than usual.

This happened to me,but I'd had c-sections.Both times if I was a bit more active or overdid it I would get bright red blood again.possibly due to internal healing,so could apply to you too I imagine.I would call the hospital and speak to a widwife, but it sounds normal to me,just try and take it easy as maybe you do need to rest and recuperate for longer.

im stll getting it on and off and its 7 weeks tomorrow i had my c section.

if you are breast feeding it could be because the uterus contracts with the feeding.it might just be taking a while to get id of it all.

my health visitor isnt concerned.she said it takes a while for things to settle
